(By Anthony Miller) Just as we were posing the question as to how long ‘little British battler’ testing companies can remain independent (see Testing times), Sogeti, Capgemini’s ‘local professional services’ (i.e. body shop) division, announced it has acquired UK testing player Vizuri (for press release, click here). Vizuri only has 90 employees, but is part of Cap’s plan to boost Sogeti’s UK headcount to 250 by the end of next year. Cap seems to be positioning Sogeti as a mainstream testing services player, though I still question why Cap still runs the division under a separate brand – but that’s a discussion for another day. I have no doubt we will see many more acquisitions of this ilk.
