Steria scores £50m contract at Land Registry

(By Anthony Miller) A clearly revitalised Steria has snapped up a £50m, five-year IT services contract with the UK Land Registry. Just as interesting, though perhaps not at all surprising to players in UK government, is that the deal took 18 months to close. Goodness, you do need staying power if you’re going to play in this market, but perseverance pays. We’re meeting Steria UK MD, John Torrie, next week to talk about Steria’s prospects, particularly now that Xansa is firmly under its belt.
