Footnote: I've been collecting data on the UK SITS sector for 40 years now. The early years are from CSA/CSSA figures. Then in 1986 I started Richard Holway Ltd and started doing my own research. Since 2000, the figures have been compiled by Ovum Holway.
But updating this chart - which I haven't done since 2003 - reminded me of a question from a member of the audience the last time I used it. He asked "Richard, how long did it take you to compile that chart?" My answer was "About 40 years..."
