Sage has its first Indian take-away

(By Anthony Miller) Full marks to our good friend George O’Connor at Panmure for spotting that Sage has made its first acquisition in India, buying payroll and HR software player Crystal Info Solutions (see here). Crystal has 35 employees, including 12 in R&D based in Chennai and a 300-strong customer base. As best as we can tell, turnover is around £250K p.a. which Sage apparently aims to double over the next year. Sage has been in India three years and has over 700 customers. And dont' forget, Sage announces its FY results tomorrow - and of course we will be there! (By the way, do make sure your anti-virus software is up to date if you visit the Sage India website as it is infected with the JS/Obfuscated Trojan horse!).
